NewSmartFin specializes in funding non-infrastructure purchase orders from government as well as orders from private institutions. Based in Gauteng, we proudly serve the entire country. At our core, we believe that small businesses are the driving force behind local economic success. That’s why we strive to provide a seamless and motivating lending experience.

Mr. Charles Muedi



Chief Executive Officer



Mr. Charles Muedi is a highly qualified professional with an extensive academic background and significant experience in the field of credit risk management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting, which provided him with a solid foundation in financial principles and practices. Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management, equipping him with advanced knowledge and skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within various organizational contexts.


In addition to these qualifications, Mr. Muedi earned a Master of Commerce (MCom) degree, further deepening his understanding of complex financial systems and risk management strategies. Over the past 12 years, he has amassed substantial experience in credit risk management, demonstrating his ability to effectively manage and mitigate credit risks, ensuring the financial stability and success of the organizations he works with

Mr. Kagiso Mphahlele



Chief Legal Officer



Mr. Mphahlele is a highly qualified attorney, admitted to practice in the High Court of the Republic of South Africa. With over a decade of post-admission experience, he has honed his legal expertise and earned the right of appearance in the High Court. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Mphahlele is a registered Debt Collector with the Council for Debt Collectors (CDC).


As a founding member of his law firm, Mr. Mphahlele has cultivated a diverse range of legal interests and specializations. His areas of focus include Administrative and Procurement Law, where he navigates the complexities of government regulations and procurement processes. He is also proficient in Commercial Arbitration, adept at resolving business disputes outside of court. Furthermore, Mr. Mphahlele handles Third Party Claims, advocating for clients in cases involving insurance and compensation. His expertise extends to Civil Litigation, where he represents clients in various legal disputes, and Labour Law, where he addresses employment-related issues.

Mr. Mashudu Mulaudzi



Chief Technology Officer



Mr Mulaudzi is a Certified Technology Specialist with multiple certifications, including CCENT: Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, MCTS: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019, and MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate for Windows Server 2012. Additionally, he holds the Infrastructure Architect/Solution Architect (SAAC-001) certification.


His key areas of expertise encompass the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive end-to-end solutions. He is particularly skilled in server planning and has achieved the MCSE: Microsoft Certified Solution Expert certification in Collaboration Infrastructure Projects. This certification highlights his proficiency in managing projects at both program and project levels, ensuring successful technological advancements.


Throughout his career, he has built and maintained robust and practical relationships with major corporations, on site and remotely.. His portfolio includes collaborations with prominent companies such as Eskom, E.O.H International, Siemens Healthineers, Barclays (ABSA), T-Systems, and American ESI. His extensive experience in the industry has equipped him with the ability to navigate and contribute to large corporate environments effectively
